Makpal Kabden is one of the most remarkable concert pianists and music instructors among the new generation of European musicians. Winner of various international awards, such as the Italian competition Vietri sul Mare-Costiera Amalfitana, she has also been dedicated to the career of piano education as the Primary/Secondary Piano Program class instructor since 2013.
Her versatile musical talent stems partly from her international background – native of Kazakhstan and born in China, pursuing her studies across several European countries, she speaks seven languages which provide cultural diversity to her unique personal style.
Coached by brilliant musicians such as Guigla Katsarava and Rena Shereshevskaya, she has been awarded degrees from prestigious institutions in France: Master in Piano Education from L'École Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortôt" de Paris, Perfecting Concert Performance Diploma from Conservatory Rayonnement Régional de Rueil - Malmaison, where she won both the Excellence Prize and the Virtuosity Prize, and Master of Music from Conservatory of Paris (CRR de Paris).
She also studied with Mikhail Voskresensky, Sergei Glavatskih, Ilja Scheps, Nina
Seregina, Alexei Lubimov and Zhong Xu in master classes. Known for her passionate interpretations of Concerto N.1 Mendelssohn and Concerto N.2 Chopin, she performs regularly solo recitals, chamber-music concerts in France and throughout the world, in such venues as the Salle Cortot, the Church of Eugène Napoléon, Foundation Biermans-Lapôtre (Belgian House) at La Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris where she participated in its "Rencontres Musicales" Festival three times from 2015 to 2019.

She has been invited to perform with the Urumqi Philharmonic Orchestra in China and Almaty Philharmonic Orchestra in Kazakhstan. In 2018, she played Prokofiev’s Concerto No. 3 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Kazakhstan, which was well recognized as a great success and received acclaim both from the audience and the media.
Makpal Kabden invests in her students by taking time off the clock to learn about their personal thinking, so she can craft creative music solutions tailored to specific teaching goals.
